Me+Wacom tablet=match made in heaven!

Jeez, I've done it. I got a Wacom Intuos 3 tablet, and an Adobe software. Here's my first try with Adobe Illustrator - I started with the outline and learned as I went...the "live paint" didn't work for some reason, so I created another layer and just "painted" in the areas. The biggest question for me remains, of course, how on earth do you fill(a background, for example?). Hopefully, I can figure it out with my next Illustrator sketch, where I'll try to draw "closed paths" rather than loose ones.

Here's a girl drinking martini...and a man in the martini...

wacom rocks! i've trie mine with corel painter, it's the perfect match :P :D
Your illustration is cool, i just think that it has a very blank background, if you tried some other color, like , some red or orange, some color that you like. The white leaves it too neutral, i guess. :)

have fun with the wacom :D

Welcome to the wonderfull world of wacom. Wacom Wacoff grasshopper! If you do a google search like "adobe illustrator tutorials". You will find a wealth of resources. I never used illustrator much, but I used to use photoshop a lot. Now that you have your new wacom, I'll bet your getting a lot less sleep...hee hee.

Sorry about the duplication. The first time i tried posting this, it said it didn't recognize my user name so I tried my alter ego.

You're so right. I just love Wacom, and who said anything about sleep? I'm not one of those sleeper people! And while I'm at it, food is not necessary either. Air bubbles will sustain ya.

I am very impressed with your first attempt with the wacom and illustrator. You did an amazing job considering you had to compensate on coloring it in without knowing the exact proceedure. Excellant job.
